"My family was ethnically cleansed in 1948. The reason I have such a strong connection is because of Palestinian organizers in my undergrad when I was a college student.  They helped me connect more to my Palestinian heritage and if it wasn’t for Palestinian activists and organizers I probably wouldn’t be here today. My family and my heritage is important, but even if I wasn’t Palestinian I would be out here fighting for Palestine. As youth we play an important role on social media, but we need people out on the streets more,"–Nashwa Abdelwahed, member of the Palestinian Youth Movement.  Shot for The Dallas Morning News.
